The Chicago Urban League is seeking applicants for its IMPACT Leadership Development Program Class of 2022.

IMPACT selects approximately 30 African American professionals each year who are between the ages of 30 and 45 and have at least a bachelor's degree and seven years of professional experience.

IMPACT chooses candidates it believes have a proven track record of civic leadership. Its selection process is competitive, requiring letters of recommendation and a formal interview. The nine-month program is partnered with the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

The program includes monthly modules, supplementary events and activities during the month and a speaker series.

The program was created because there are limited opportunities for up-and-coming African American professionals to learn how to be successful leaders. Applications must be submitted by April 30 for the 2022 class.

The 2022 information session will allow those interested in applying to gain information about the program for next year's class.

Information sessions will be held on the dates below:

  • Wednesday, March 24, noon to 1 p.m.
  • Tuesday, March 30, 5:30-6:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, April 3, 10-11 a.m.
  • Monday, April 12, 3-4 p.m.
Those interested should call the Chicago Urban League at 773-285-5800, or visit them online at www.chiul.org.
